Sclerotherapy

What is sclerotherapy? This method of vein treatment is for varicose and small accessory veins with venous reflux. Sclerotherapy is the injection of a chemical solution (sclerosant) into a vein that damages the endothelial lining of the treated vein, causing the vessel to contract and sclerose. The vein eventually disappears by reabsorption in the affected leg.
